What we receive
Data Collected
Only what you send us and what the server needs to stay secure. Nothing else is gathered.
Contact details you provide
Name, email address, topic selected, and message content. We use these only to read and answer your note and, where you report an error, to fix the guide.
Technical data for operation
IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps, kept in server logs. This helps us spot abuse, diagnose faults, and keep the site available.
What we do not collect
No accounts are created on this site. No payment data is collected. Please do not submit API secrets, credentials, or financial account numbers — the form is for general questions only.
Why we process
Purposes and Legal Basis
We use personal data to answer you, improve the guides, and keep the site secure — nothing beyond that.
Personal data is used to respond to inquiries, to correct guide content based on reader reports, and to maintain site security. For example, if you point out an unclear step in the data movement handbook, we keep your note while the correction is reviewed.
Processing is based on the need to respond to a visitor request and on the legitimate interest in operating a secure informational site. Data is not used for automated decision-making. Marketing use does not apply, as messages are not added to promotional lists.
How long we keep it
Retention
Contact messages are retained for up to 24 months to allow follow-up and to track corrections. If a thread needs several replies over weeks, we keep the full context so you do not have to repeat yourself.
Server logs are retained for up to 12 months, then deleted or aggregated. Aggregated statistics contain no personal identifiers and are used only to understand general use, such as which guides are read most.
Where a visitor requests deletion earlier, the operator will delete message content unless retention is required by law. Send the request from the same email address so we can match it safely.

Your control
Rights of Visitors
You can ask what we hold about you, fix an error, or ask us to delete your message. Here is how that works in practice.
Request access to your data
Visitors may request access to personal data they submitted. Send the request through the Contact page from the same email address used in the original message, and tell us the approximate date and topic so we can locate it.
Ask for correction or deletion
Visitors may request correction of, or deletion of, personal data they submitted. The operator will respond within a reasonable period, consistent with applicable U.S. requirements. If a request cannot be fulfilled, the reason will be stated. No fee is charged for a reasonable request.
What to include in your request
Use the same email address, quote the subject line if you still have it, and say clearly whether you want a copy, a fix, or deletion. This avoids back-and-forth and keeps the reply accurate.
Protection
Disclosure and Security
Personal data is not sold, rented, or shared for unrelated marketing. Disclosure occurs only where required by law or to protect site security.
Access to messages is limited to personnel handling correspondence. Reasonable technical and organizational measures are applied to protect stored data, including limited access and routine log review.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and visitors should avoid sending sensitive credentials. If you sent something sensitive by mistake, tell us promptly through the Contact page so we can delete it.
Practical tip: describe your setup in general terms. Share versions and error text, never keys or passwords.
